Oww

Oww may be downloaded from Sourceforge. Each release is supplied in three forms:

• The rpm files are generated for SuSE Linux, but may work on other rpm-based systems.
• The tar.gz files are source-code releases, which should build on most Unix-type systems.
• The RO.zip files are binary releases for RISC OS.

Oww Dependencies - Unix

Oww for Unix (Linux) is built on the Gtk+ widget library, and depends on a few other software components:

• gtk 2.12 or later
• libcurl
• libusb-0.1 (this may be provided by a compatibility library on top of libusb-1.0)

To build Oww from source be sure to have the development packages for these libraries installed.

The owwnogui program may be built without the Gtk+ libraries. Oww may also be built without libcurl, but will then not support Wunderground-style uploads. Likewise libusb is optional, but necessary for use with a DS9490 USB adaptor. Note that other USB adaptors use an RS232-to-USB bridge, appearing as serial port devices, and do not need libusb.

Oww Dependencies - RISC OS

Oww for RISC OS depends on a few other software components:

• Toolbox modules
• TextGadget module
• Acorn URL and HTTP modules – See Oregano support (3.7 version seems Ok for 3.1 and up)

Oww Client

Oww Client may be downloaded from Sourceforge. Each release is supplied in two or three forms:

• The rpm files are generated for SuSE Linux, but may work on other rpm-based systems.
• The tar.gz files are source-code releases, which should build on most Unix-type systems.
• The .exe files are binary releases for MS Windows.
