Oww may be downloaded from Sourceforge. Each release is supplied in three forms:
Oww for Unix (Linux) is built on the Gtk+ widget library, and depends on a few other software components:
- gtk 2.12 or later
- libcurl
- libusb-0.1 (this may be provided by a compatibility library on top of libusb-1.0)
To build Oww from source be sure to have the development packages for these libraries installed.
The owwnogui
program may be built without the Gtk+ libraries.
Oww may also be built without libcurl
,
but will then not support Wunderground-style uploads.
Likewise libusb
is optional, but necessary for use with a DS9490 USB adaptor.
Note that other USB adaptors use an RS232-to-USB bridge, appearing as serial port devices,
and do not need libusb
.
Oww for RISC OS depends on a few other software components:
